Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna has withdrawn its license to cover for 98.3 W252AW Chicago filed in April 2017 after a series of petitions to deny filed by veteran Chicago engineer and reporter Larry Langford. Centro Cristiano had been filing a series of applications to hop W252AW from Chicago's western suburbs with the intent to bring it to downtown Chicago. Langford filed a Petition To Deny in December 2017 stating that many of the previous Construction Permits were never built out showing that a July 2016 License To Cover on a tower owned by the Illinois Department of Transportation, an October 2016 LTC on the tower of CBS Radio's 670 WSCR, and a March 2017 LTC on a tower owned by the Chicago Transit Authority could not have been built as claimed as all three tower owners were never ...[Read More]

Station Sales After a second attempt at bringing a 107.7 signal into the Omaha market failed due to conflicts with the FAA, Kona Coast Radio is selling Silent 107.7 KIMI Malvern IA to Educational Media Foundation for $100,000. EMF will utilize KIMI to bring their “Air-1” network into the Omaha market as a satellite of 92.7 KYRA Thousand Oaks CA. Stephens Media sells Silent 1490 KBIX Muskogee OK and 102.9 K275CK Clinton MO (with a CP to relocate to Muskogee) to Grupo Teletul Multimedia for $175,000. University of Utah purchases Silent 93.9 KYLZ Parowan UT from Tri State Radio for $450,000. KYLZ holds a CP to relocate to Enoch where it will cover the St. George/Cedar City market with 100kw/341m. FCC Report 2/20: Chicago Translator Move Coming

EMF Broadcasting is applying to bring another translator into Chicago proper. 101.5 W268AY Seward Township, IL has applied to relocate to the top of the Trump International Hotel where it would operate with 250 watts and rebroadcast Clear Channel’s 95.5 WNUA-HD3. In nearby Joliet, 94.3 W232BL looks to double from 5 to 10 watts with a shift to 99.1 due to interference from co-owned “K-Love” WJKL Glendale Heights. Over in Phoenix, EMF is seeking to relocate and upgrade its 96.5 K243BN Laveen from the South Mountain tower farm to the north side of the city. It will upgrade from 11 to 51 watts. Woman’s World Broadcasting’s “South 107” 107.1 WTSH-FM Rockmart/Rome, Ga has completed one upgrade and applied for another. The station has jumped from 45kW to 100kW. The application will keep the station at 100kW but increase the antenna height from 158 to 287 meters. If approved the station’s service contour will just miss downtown Atlanta. In Atlanta, Clear Channel’s 94.9 WUBL and 96.1 WKLS are looking to make a minor adjustment. Their application to move to a new tower 150 meters away from their current one. 94.9 will adjust from 99kW to 73.6kW while increasing from 298 to 330 meters. 96.1’s shift is from 99kW at 300 meters to 97kW at 330 meters.
