Art Bell Adds KXL Portland & More Affiliates

Art Bell’s return to radio has begun picking up some larger affiliates as Alpha Media’s 101.1 KXL-FM Portland announces it will pickup the show when it debuts next Monday. Other new additions to Bell’s affiliate list are Great Plains Media’s “Cities 92.9” WRPW Bloomington, IL and Bell Media’s (No Relation) 1010 CFRB Toronto. Alpha Media Portland announced today, Art Bell will return to the airwaves on Monday July 20, 2015 on major market, FM NEWS 101 KXL with the debut of his new show, “Midnight in the Desert”. After taking a week off for the Memorial Day holiday, we’re back with a roundup of the last two weeks worth of FCC filings. Station Moves Connoisseur Media’s Classic Rock “95.9 The Fox” WFOX Norwalk, CT has applied to change its city-of-license to Southport, CT with no changes to its 3kW at 91 meters signal (Coverage Map). The move will shift WFOX’s home market from Stamford/Norwalk to Bridgeport where it will join sister Hot AC “Star 99.9” WEZN. Domestic Church Media’s Catholic 89.3 WFJS-FM Freehold, NJ proposes an increase from 3.8kW at 50 meters to 15.2kW from the same antenna.
