Kevin Musselman Named Adams Fort Wayne VP/GM

Adams Radio Group has promoted Kevin Musselman from Director of Sales to Vice President/General Manager of its Fort Wayne IN cluster. He succeeds Chris Monk, who exited last month to become Regional Vice President of Cumulus’ Saginaw and Flint MI clusters. Musselman joined Adams in 2014 when it closed on its purchase of its Fort Wayne stations. He worked for Federated Media from 2007-2012 including time as GM of 102.7 WLEG Ligonier. Adams Radio Group has named Kevin Musselman VP & GM for it Fort Wayne, Indiana cluster. After taking a week off for the Memorial Day holiday, we’re back with a roundup of the last two weeks worth of FCC filings. Station Moves Connoisseur Media’s Classic Rock “95.9 The Fox” WFOX Norwalk, CT has applied to change its city-of-license to Southport, CT with no changes to its 3kW at 91 meters signal (Coverage Map). The move will shift WFOX’s home market from Stamford/Norwalk to Bridgeport where it will join sister Hot AC “Star 99.9” WEZN. Domestic Church Media’s Catholic 89.3 WFJS-FM Freehold, NJ proposes an increase from 3.8kW at 50 meters to 15.2kW from the same antenna. Adams Expands Into Fort Wayne With Two Group Purchases

Update 2/25: Tom Taylor Now reports on the two spinoffs required by the Adams purchases. Oldies 102.9 WGL-FM Huntington will be swapped to Calvary Radio Network for translator 103.3 W277AK Fort Wayne. 90s Hits “Rewind 106.3” WHPP Columbia City will be swapped to Ft. Wayne Catholic Radio for 1450 WLYV Fort Wayne. (Taylor inadvertantly pegs it as 1570 WGLL Auburn) Following the closings of all the sales, Adams Radio Group will own 93.3 WBTU, 96.3 WNHT, 103.3 W277AK, 103.9 WXKE, 107.9 WJHT, 1250 WGL, and 1450 WLYV in the Fort Wayne market. Fort Wayne Pair To Shift To Oldies

Summit City Radio Group will flip Adult Standards/Talk “1250 The River” WGL and AC “V102.9” WGL-FM Fort Wayne to Oldies on Monday, June 3. The new format will focus on pop hits from the 1960’s and 70’s. Longtime Fort Wayne personality Rick Hughes will join the station for mornings. 1250 WGL afternoon host Pat While will remain in that slot for the combined station. WGL AM/FM will remain as the Fort Wayne affiliate for Indiana University Sports. The station claims that no jobs will be lost by combining the two station’s programming, although 1250 will drop the syndicated Dave Ramsey and 102.9 will cease airing Delilah.
