WSSP Rebrands As 105.7 The Fan

A few months after launching 105.7 W289CB Milwaukee to simulcast “Sportsradio 1250” WSSP, Entercom has renamed the pair as “105.7 The Fan“. W289CB operates with 240 watts at 284 meters (Coverage Map) covering all of Milwaukee and its surrounding towns.

Pair Of Milwaukee AM’s Launch Translators

Two Milwaukee AM stations have signed-on FM translators. Milwaukee Radio Alliance Soft AC/Standards “1290 Martini Radio” WZTI has launched 100.3 W262CJ Milwaukee. The signal operates with a directional 99 watts at 164 meters (Coverage Map). Entercom’s “SportsRadio 1250” WSSP Milwaukee began airing on 105.7 W289CB earlier this month with 240 watts at 284 meters (Coverage Map) via 103.7 WXSS-HD2. The station is not yet promoting its new FM signal.

A pair of stations in Northeast Idaho will be relocating to new locations. Frandsen Media’s 96.5 KAZZ Sugar City, ID will shift to 99.9 operating with 770 watts at 532 meters. Tri-State Media’s 100.1 KITT Soda Springs, ID will move to 100.3 in Wilson, WY with an increase from a Class A to Class C2 operating with 7.8kW at 336 meters. Cornerstone Community Radio has sold the Construction Permit for 93.5 W228CT Daytona Beach, FL to Southern Stone Communications for $18,000. Southern Stone will utilize the 250 watt translator to rebroadcast its News/Talk 1150 WNDB Daytona Beach. As part of a court order, Om P. FCC Applications 2/26: Pair of Milwaukee AM’s Gaining Translators

A very brief rundown this week with just a few applications made: We start in Milwaukee, where two AM’s appear headed for the FM band. The Milwaukee Radio Alliance has agreed to purchase 100.3 W289CB Milwaukee from Mary Medicus for $150,000. The translator CP, currently licensed to operate with 12 watts at 67.9 meters, will be used to rebroadcast Standards “1290 Martini Radio” WZTI. Meanwhile Kevin J. Youngers’ 105.7 W289CB Milwaukee has applied to relocate to 105.1 where it will operate with 10 watts. The application specifies Entercom’s “SportsRadio 1250” WSSP as the originating station.
