Minor League Baseball Team Acquires Station

There’s no player to be named later involved as the York Revolution of the independent Atlantic League has agreed to purchase 1350 WOYK York, PA from Doug George’s WOYK Inc. WOYK, which currently runs programming from NBC Sports Radio, serves as the play-by-play home of the Revolution for the past four years. Darrell Henry, the team’s play-by-play voice will take on the role of station GM once the purchase is completed. York Professional Baseball Club LLC, owner and operator of the York Revolution, announced today that it has agreed to purchase WOYK AM 1350 from WOYK, Inc., the radio station’s current licensee.
