Anchor Radio and Ryan Media have come to a settlement to resolve one of the mutually exclusive conflicts created on the first day of the AM Translator Waiver Period. Anchor Radio is taking a $25,000 cash settlement from Ryan Media to withdraw its application for 104.7 W284AD New Albany IN to move to 96.1 with 250w/115m from its existing tower site. W284AD will continue to operate on 104.7, albeit with a directional 99 watts rebroadcasting Gospel "1240 Love" WLLV Louisville.

Sports Buzz Debuts In Louisville

1450 WQKC Jeffersonville, IN/Louisville, KY has returned from silence as “The Sports Buzz“. The station, which was taken dark by Cumulus in August 2010 had been running a sports format then as “The Ticket“. The station is being managed and programmed by “Kentucky Sports Buzz”, which had been brokering time on Clear Channel’s “Talkradio 1080” WKJK. Featured in the new program lineup is a local show hosted by Greg Brohm from 5-6pm as well as Dan Patrick from 9am to 12pm and Yahoo! Sports Radio the rest of the day. WQKC becomes Louisville’s third all sports station joining Union Broadcasting’s “ESPN 680” WHBE and Clear Channel’s 790/101.7 WKRD.
