Station Sales After bouncing around multiple stations and translators for a few years, 4-K’s LLLP Sports “Mile High Sports Radio” will gain some stability as it acquires 1340 KDCO Denver and translators 92.9 K225BS Longmont and 104.7 K284CI Denver CO from Vic Michael’s Kona Coast Radio for $464,000. 4-K’s previously has twice sold off the home of the station in the past three years forcing it to move to another frequency. It has operated off of 1340 KDCO since June 2015. Township Media will purchase 1490 KTAE Austin TX from Genuine Austin Radio for $750,000. KLGO Finds New Home

The Christian Preaching format of “The Word” KLGO Austin has found a new home. KLGO had broadcast most recently on 1490 until the debut of “Fringe 105.3” on April 19 moved the Classic/Texas Country KOKE-FM programming to 1490. KLGO was set to be moved to 1260 KWNX Elgin where it would’ve replaced a simulcast of Sports/Classic Hits “104.9 The Horn” KTXX-FM Bee Cave. That move never happened leading the programmers to begin a search for a new home for the format, which will take place on Monday, May 12. Following the completion of the move of 104.3 WAXY-FM from West Palm Beach into the Miami market, Midway Broadcasting has applied to upgrade the signal of 104.7 WFLM White City. The station has proposed to move to the Indian River Community College tower site of 88.9 WQCS Fort Pierce where it would shift to 104.5 and upgrade from a Class C3 operating with 17.5kW at 119 meters to a C2 with 50kW at 113.2 meters. As they exercise their option to purchase 1490 KLGO Austin and 99.3 KOKE-FM Thorndale, TX from REO Radio Group for $3.2 Million, Genuine Austin Radio has applied to increase the FM from a Class A operating with 6kW at 100 meters to a C3 with 24kW at 100 meters. The Word Austin Moves To AM

Reo Radio Group’s Christian Talk “The Word” 99.3 KLGO Thorndale/98.5 K253AN Austin is moving its programming to sister 1490 KFON. The AM had been running Spanish Christian programming as “La Palabra“. Prior to moving to FM in 2006, KLGO’s programming had been on 970 KIXL Austin. 99.3 KLGO is a rimshot to Austin operating with 6kW at 328 foot from the northeast of the market. 98.5 K253AN fills in coverage in Austin proper with 50 watts at 573 feet with a Construction Permit to upgrade to 115 watts. No word (pun intended) on what will replace “The Word” on 99.3 and 98.5 yet.
