iHeartMedia has brought News/Talk 1510 WLAC Nashville to FM on 98.3 W252CM/WSIX-HD2. Rebranded as “TalkRadio 98.3“, the station has also announced the addition of Steve Gill’s “Tennessee Star Report” for mornings from 5-8am. Gill previously spent two terms at WLAC including a run in mornings from 2009-2013. He also hosted mornings at Cumulus’ “Supertalk 99.7” WWTN and on a statewide network. The remainder of WLAC’s lineup features syndicated talkers Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Dave Ramsey. The station also carries Vanderbilt University sports. iHeartMedia News/Talk 1510 WLAC Nashville will add Fox Sports Radio’s “Outkick The Coverage” hosted by Clay Travis for mornings from 6-8am starting Tuesday, December 6. The 5am hour currently airs on Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX but the Tennessean reports that will move to WLAC as well once contractually able. Travis began his radio career as co-host of WGFX’ midday “3HL” from 2009-2014. Outkick The Coverage will replace 740 KTRH Houston’s Michael Berry in mornings at WLAC.
iHeartMedia has announced that Gator Harrison has been named Senior Vice President of Programming for the company’s Nashville stations. One year after leaving his longtime flagship 99.7 WWTN for Cromwell Sports “102.5 The Game” WPRT-FM, syndicated advice host Dave Ramsey is once again on the move in Nashville. Beginning on January 2, Ramsey will move to Clear Channel News/Talk 1510 WLAC. In the move, Ramsey will lose his live clearance in the Nashville market as the program will air on delay from 5-8pm.
