Station Sales Week Of 3/2: Jazz Hall Of Fame Takes Birmingham Non-Comm

Samford University is selling its Jazz 91.1 WVSU-FM Birmingham AL to The Jazz Hall of Fame of Alabama for $50,000. The buyer, led by Bishop James Lowe has begun programming the station through a Programming Services Agreement. Samford will also receive up to 1200 minutes a year for ten years for marketing and event announcements and half of those minutes can be carried over into the next year. The buyer will change WVSU-FM’s call letters within six months of closing. Federated Media’s Talking Stick Communications sells Sports “ESPN 106.7” WFGA Hicksville OH to Swick Broadcasting for $300,000.
