KOGO Adds Eight Hours Of News Daily

Clear Channel Talk 600 KOGO San Diego is rebooting its lineup starting Tuesday, October 14 as it adds three news blocks to its programming. The new KOGO lineup will feature: 5am-9am: San Diego’s Morning News with LaDona Harvey and Ted Garcia 9am-12pm: Rush Limbaugh 12pm-1pm: KOGO’s News at Noon with Cliff Albert 1pm-4pm: Bob ‘Sully’ Sullivan 4pm-7pm: KOGO’s Afternoon News with Ernie Brown and Marilyn Hyder 7pm-9pm: Chris Merril @ Night 9pm-4am: Coast To Coast with George Noory 4am-5am: Wall Street Journal This Morning The changes will see current midday talk host LaDona Harvey moved into mornings as co-host of the 5-9am news block. KOGO San Diego Ends FM Simulcast

Clear Channel News/Talk 600 KOGO San Diego is no longer heard on FM as 95.7 KOGO-FM began stunting with commercial-free Christmas music at 7:00pm on Friday. The simulcast, which began on November 7, 2011, ends amidst dropping ratings at the station despite the addition of the FM signal. In the September 2011 PPM monthlies, KOGO registered a 3.9 share. That was down to a 3.0 in October 2012. The previous “US 95.7” Country format on 95.7 had a 2.8 share when it was dropped. In the same time frame, Lincoln Financial Media’s Country 97.3 KSON has added many of 95.7’s former Country listeners to surpass Clear Channel CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM as the most listened to station in the market. KOGO San Diego Adds FM Simulcast

Clear Channel News/Talk 600 KOGO San Diego is the latest station to join the FM simulcast club. As first reported earlier today by SDRadio.net, KOGO’s programming will first displace “New Country 95.7” KUSS on Monday, November 7. The stations will be branded as “FM News and Talk 95.7 and AM 600 KOGO”. Joining KOGO’s lineup will be former KVI Seattle morning host Bryan Suits for 12pm to 3pm and Bob “Sully” Sullivan from 6 to 8pm. LaDona Harvey will move from middays to afternoon drive. The stations will break from the simulcast in afternoon drive through the end of the year as Roger Hedgecock finishes out his contract on the AM.
