Mapleton Launches 94.1 The Bear Spokane

Mapleton Communications flipped Adult Standards “Magic 790” KJRB Spokane WA to Classic Rock “94.1 The Bear” at 7am on Tuesday as it signed on its new FM translator. Launching with the normal 10,000 songs in a row commercial free, the new format is positioning as “The Rock You Know”. The new format goes up against iHeartMedia’s market leading 98.9 KKZX and QueenB Radio “Rock 94.5” KHTQ. Mapleton Spokane OM Greg Tillotson will add programming duties for KJRB. 94.1 K231CU Spokane operates with 99w/408m giving nearly full market coverage.

Fox Sports Returns To Spokane

Mapleton Communications will return Fox Sports Radio programming to Spokane on Monday, June 1. Classic Country “790 The Eagle” KJRB will become “Fox Sports 790“. KJRB will run the national Fox Sports Radio lineup around the clock. While Mapleton previously ran the FSR programming on 1510 KGA before switching to CBS Sports Radio in 2013, the network had been heard on iHeartMedia’s 1280 KZFS until it flipped to Christian AC “Up 99.3” in April.

KJRB Spokane Shifts To News

Mapleton Communications News/Talk 790 KJRB Spokane has shifted to All News. In place of its lineup of syndicated talkers are newscasts from America’s Radio News Network and local NBC affiliate KHQ-TV. The hosts out with the shift are Laura Ingraham, Jerry Doyle, Neil Boortz, and Lars Larson. The new lineup will feature America’s Radio News from 3am to 7pm with the exception of a local financial show from 12pm to 12:30pm and a KHQ-TV simulcast from 5 to 5:30pm, The Daily Wrap from 7pm to 10pm, and Overnight America with Jon Grayson from 10pm to 3am.
