Flinn Broadcasting’s “Sports 56” WHBQ Memphis has simultaneously added an FM and TV simulcast as the station begins simulcasting on 87.7 WPGF-LP. The LPTV station had been rebroadcasting Flinn’s 1210 WMPS since February 2011 when both stations were leased to MPS Broadcasting. The move gives WHBQ and FM signal to match Entercom’s “ESPN 92.9” WMFS/680 WJCE. Flinn had recently purchased 97.7 W249BD Ellendale to simulcast WHBQ. With the addition of 87.7 to 560, the translator has modified its license to now simulcast Flinn’s Spanish “Radio Ambiente” 1030 WGSF when it completes its upgrade from 19 to 250 watts.
