Update 8/1: CKMP completed its “update” at 9am today as it rebranded to “90.3 Amp” promoting “Twice The Music”. CKMP is utilizing Sparknet’s “Quickhitz” format of abbreviated songs to play more music per hour. Newcap Radio brings the “Amp Radio” branding to Calgary as it flips Classic Alternative CFUL “Fuel 90.3” to CHR as “Amp Radio Calgary” and the infamous 10,000 songs in a row stunt. CFUL was recently granted a signal upgrade to 100kw and unlike the United States is a commercial station although it is on what we consider to be part of the non-commercial side of the FM dial.
