Moug Show Takes Mornings At 91X San Diego

Local Media San Diego Alternative “91X” 91.1 XETRA-FM Tijuana/San Diego launched The Moug Show in mornings today. The show is led by John Moug, who recently departed afternoons as Entercom CHR 98.5 KLUC Las Vegas. He had also been hosting a syndicated show to other markets including Burlington VT and New London CT. His co-host/producer in that endeavor, Jared Dey also makes the move to 91X. Dey spent seven years as a producer at Cox Media Group CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI and Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT Tampa and had been working part-time at KLUC. Garrett Michaels Appointed PD At 91X San Diego

Garett Michaels is moving from a consultant role to Program Director at Local Media San Diego Alternative “91X” 91.1 XETRA-FM Tijuana/San Diego. Michaels has served as a consultant at 91X for the past year after the dissolution of the SDLocal joint operation made up of Local Media San Diego and the KFMB Stations where he served as Director of Rock Programming and PD of “100.7 KFM-BFM” KFMB-FM. Michaels has a long tenure in the Alternative format where he has programmed WPLY Philadelphia, WPLT Detroit, KYPT and KNDD Seattle, and nine years at “FM 94.9” KBZT San Diego which he helped launch in 2002. Zach Van Lue Joins 91X San Diego For Afternoons

Local Media San Diego Alternative “91X” 91.1 XETRA-FM Tijuana/San Diego has announced the addition of Zach Van Lue to the station’s airstaff to host afternoons. Zach most recently hosted nights at Entercom Alternative “107.7 The End” KNDD Seattle. He also spent five years hosting mornings at CHR “104.2 Nile-FM” in Cairo, Egypt. He fills the afternoon opening most recently held by former Program Director Michael Halloran. Halloran departed the station in early January. Garett Michaels Promoted To Director of Rock Programming For SDLocal

Just weeks after joining SDLocal as Program Director for 100.7 KFMB-FM San Diego, Garett Michaels has been promoted to Director of Rock Programming. The new position will add oversight of Alternative “91X” 91.1 XETRA-FM in addition to his duties at newly launched “100.7 KFM-BFM“. Current 91X Program Director Mike Halloran will report to Michaels. The pair previously worked together during Michaels’ ten year stint programming “FM 94.9” KBZT San Diego. Local Media San Diego & KFMB Stations To Combine Operations

Local Media San Diego and Midwest Television’s KFMB Stations are combining operations. The new SDLocal will bring together Local Media San Diego’s CHR “Z90.3” XHTZ, Alternative “91X” 91.1 XETRA-FM, and Rhythmic Oldies “Magic 92.5” XHRM with Midwest Television’s News/Talk 760 KFMB and Hot AC “100.7 Jack-FM” KFMB-FM under a Joint Operating Agreement.
