Aaron Trimmer Moves To Phoenix As iHeartMedia Talk/Sports PD

iHeartMedia has named Aaron Trimmer as its new Program Director for Talk 550 KFYI, “KFYI 2” 1230 KOY, and Sports “Fox Sports 910” KGME Phoenix. Trimmer comes to Phoenix from iHeartMedia’s Richmond VA cluster where he programmed News/Talk 1140 WRVA and “Fox Sports 910” WRNL. He has also programmed for the company in Birmingham, Huntsville AL, and Syracuse NY. KTAR Shuffles Schedule As Dan Bickley Joins

Bonneville’s “Arizona Sports” 620 KTAR Phoenix is shuffling its schedule on July 29. Dan Bickley, who had been co-hosting afternoons with Mike “MJ” Jurecki on Clear Channel’s recently rebranded “Fox Sports 910” KGME, will join KTAR to co-host a 12-2pm show with Vince Marotta. Bickley will also be expanding his duties with Gannett’s Arizona Republic, AZCentral.com, and KPNX-TV. To accomodate the addition of Bickley, KTAR will be rearranging the remainder of its lineup as it brings local programming back to morning drive replacing ESPN’s Mike & Mike. KGME Phoenix Rebrands

Clear Channel Sports “Xtra 910” KGME Phoenix has rebranded as “Fox Sports 910“. KGME began using the “Xtra” moniker in 2000 when it moved from 550. At the time the “Xtra” brand, which came from the XETRA calls of 690 Tijuana/San Diego, was used by Clear Channel Sports stations in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Louisville along with Phoenix. Along with the rebranding, KGME will launch a new midday show: The Freaks with Kenny & Crash, hosted by Kenny Sargent and Crash Gladys from 12pm to 2pm daily. The station features six hours of local programming daily with The Freaks joining incumbent afternoon show Bickley and MJ, who air from 2-6pm.
