LHTC Media has launched News/Talk “PA Talk 98.7/910” 910 WAVL Apollo/98.7 W254CR Latrobe PA. The new lineup include regionally syndicated Jim Quinn in mornings, Hank Baughman’s “Talk Westmoreland” based at new sister 1480 WCNS Latrobe, and syndicated talkers Dana Loesch, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, and Joe Pags. The suburban Pittsburgh station is being operated via LMA from Colonial Media & Entertainment while awaiting the acquisition of the stations to be approved.

Translator Sales Just north of Chicago, Cornerstone Community Radio is selling the CP for 92.1 W221DD Waukegan, IL to Frank Glass McCoy for $5000. McCoy is the Chief Engineer for Salem Media’s Chicago stations but it is unknown if they are involved in the purchase. Cornerstone also sells the CP for 101.5 W268CF West Palm Beach, FL to Educational Media Foundation for $25,000. EMF will rebroadcast its pending acquisition 90.7 WFLV West Palm Beach on the translator and will file a modification application before closing. A pair of sales will see three Pittsburgh area stations changing hands. Educational Media Foundation, which has been on a buying spree of late, will sell two of its translators in the Pittsburgh market to Broadcast Communications, Inc for $310,000. The two translators are already used to rebroadcast BCI’s AM stations in the market. 94.1 W231BM Clarion, PA operates with 84 watts and rebroadcasts Variety 620 WKHB Irwin. 97.5 W248AR Monroeville operates with 118 watts and rebroadcasts Talk/Oldies 770 WKFB Jeannette.
