iHeartMedia has flipped “ESPN Deportes 910” KKSF Oakland/San Francisco to Liberal Talk “Real Talk 910“. The station will carry a syndicated lineup of Stephanie Miller from 6-9am, Thom Hartmann 9am-12pm, advice host Clark Howard 12-3pm, and Norman Goldman from 3-6pm. iHeartRadio’s “Daily Dive” news podcast will make its terrestrial radio debut at 5:40am weekdays. ESPN Deportes Dallas Update

After Deportes Media lost its LMA of Liberman Broadcasting’s 1540 KZMP University Park/Dallas in September, Liberman did bring the network back to the market in mid-October and like iHeart in San Francisco is now operating the network directly. Original Report 11/10: Deportes Media has lost its LMAs of three of the four stations it operates with ESPN Deportes Radio programming. The company lost its LMA of Liberman Broadcasting’s 1540 KZMP University Park/Dallas in September and that station flipped to a simulcast of “La Ranchera 106.7” KZZA. Deportes Media had moved its San Francisco LMA from 860 KTRB to iHeartMedia’s 910 KKSF in July, but the format there is now being operated by iHeart directly. KKSF Abandons Talk For ESPN Deportes

iHeartMedia abruptly dropped the Talk format of 910 KKSF San Francisco this morning to return the Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes” network to the market. The station is now being operated by Deportes Media via LMA, which had been running the network on 860 KTRB San Francisco until that station became Salem Media operated Conservative Talk “860 The Answer” on July 1. KKSF had been running a mix of local and syndicated Talk including longtime KGO host Gil Gross, Program Director Cory Callewaert and Joel Riddell, and the syndicated Stephanie Miller and Alan Colmes. KKSF registered a 0.3 share in the June 2016 Nielsen Audio PPM ratings.

KGO Announces New Lineup With Ronn Owens Staying After All

As 810 KGO San Francisco prepares to relaunch with its “Next Generation” tomorrow, a major hiccup has already come into play. The station announced its new on-air lineup this morning by announcing that Ronn Owens would remain on the station as opposed to moving to afternoons at sister Conservative Talk 560 KSFO as originally announced. The new lineup at KGO will consist of the regionally syndicated Armstrong & Getty from 6-10am, Owens from 10am-12pm, KGO weekend host Ethan Bearman moves to weekdays from 12-2pm and fellow weekender Brian Copeland will follow from 2-4pm. JV & Elvis Ressurect The Dog House On KKSF

Jeff “JV” Vandergrift and Dan “Elvis” Lay will reunite in afternoons at iHeartMedia Talk 910 KKSF San Francisco. The duo spent many years in mornings at sister “Wild 94.9” KYLD San Francisco until being fired in 2005. They spent a brief time in late mornings at CBS’s ill-fated “92.3 Free-FM” WFNY-FM New York before each went their separate ways. Vandergrift eventually returned to mornings at KYLD in 2009, while Lay spent a brief time at Royce International’s “92.7 Rev” KREV. The new incarnation of the show comes as part of a contract extension to retain “JV In The Morning” at KYLD. Randi Rhodes To End Syndicated Show

Syndicated Liberal Talker Randi Rhodes is ending her daily program on May 16. Last November Premiere Radio Networks cancelled and then uncancelled her West Palm Beach based show after agreeing to a contract extension through 2014. The decision to end the program this time came from Rhodes herself. A brief statement from Premiere Radio Networks claimed “Randi Rhodes has decided to end her national radio program. We’ve had a successful partnership with Randi for several years, and we wish her all the best for the future. Premiere Networks will conclude syndication and production of Randi Rhodes on May 16, 2014.” Randi Rhodes aired live from 3-6pm Eastern and includes 910 KKSF San Francisco, 760 KKZN Denver, and 1480 KPHX Phoenix among her larger market affiliates.

Patriots Launch In Los Angeles & San Francisco

Update 1/2: 1150 KTLK Los Angeles has relaunched as “1150 The Patriot” with new KEIB call letters. The KTLK calls moved to 1130 KTCN Minneapolis. The new lineup at “The Patriot” has been finalized beyond the previously announced Glenn Beck from 6-9am, Limbaugh from 9am-12pm, and Hannity from 12-3pm. The remainder of the lineup will feature former KNBC-TV anchor Carlos Amezcua from 3-6pm, followed by some remnants from KTLK. Advice host Clark Howard from 6-10pm, NBC Sports Radio from 10pm-2am, and America In The Morning from 2-3am. Doc Thompson from Glenn Beck’s Blaze Radio Network will air from 3-6am. Sean Hannity Confirms Cumulus Departure

While it has been an unstated fact for the past several weeks, Premiere Radio Networks and Sean Hannity have confirmed they will not be reupping with their current Cumulus owned affiliates at the end of the year. Telling InsideRadio that, “We fired them weeks ago,” the move coincides with Cumulus resigning Rush Limbaugh for all their affiliates except in New York. Hannity will make the move to Clear Channel’s 710 WOR along with Limbaugh and could easily make the same move to 910 KKSF San Francisco from Cumulus’ 560 KSFO that Rush made in January 2012. Update 1/3: The shifts have been completed as Clear Channel has launched “News/Talk 910” KKSF and 960 KNEW. Rush Limbaugh has moved from Cumulus’ 560 KSFO to fill the vacant 9am to 12pm slot on KKSF. That leads to lineup changes at KSFO. Melanie Morgan, who was laid off from the station in 2008, returns to join Brian Sussman in mornings. J.D. Hayworth, former Arizona congressman and host at Clear Channel’s 550 KFYI Phoenix, takes over Limbaugh’s former 9am to 12pm slot.
