Perry owns Urban AC “Heart & Soul 92.1” 1140 KRMP/92.1 K221FQ Oklahoma City and Urban “Power 103.5” KVSP Anadarko in the market. Following the sale of its two other Houma LA stations to Lisa Stiglets and Elizabeth McQueen’s JLE, Inc earlier this month, My Home Team Media has sold Classic Rock “LA 106.3” KXOR-FM Thibodaux to Educational Media Foundation for $525,000. GSB Broadcasting closed on its acquisition of 92.5 WICO-FM Pocomoke City MD from Delmarva Broadcasting and has flipped the station to a simulcast of Variety Hits 96.5 WCTG Chincoteague VA. WICO-FM had been rebroadcasting Delmarva’s News/Talk 1320 WICO Salisbury, which is also in the process of being sold. With the addition of the the 92.5 signal, WCTG is promoting being able to be heard on much of the Delmarva Peninsula from southern Delaware to near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel.
Draper Holdings has closed on its acquisition of Silent 102.5 WBOC-FM Princess Anne/Salisbury MD (formerly Christian AC “Joy 102.5” WOLC) and has relaunched the station with commercial-free Christmas music. WBOC-FM will debut its permanent format after the holiday season. The company has hired Joe Edwards as Operations Manager. Edwards crossed the street from Delmarva Broadcasting’ Salisbury cluster after 22 years with the company where he served as OM of Country “Cat Country 97.5” WKTT. Delmarva Broadcasting is preparing to exit the Salisbury/Ocean City MD market. Delmarva has begun by selling Country “Cat Country 97.5” WKTT and Conservative Talk 1320 WICO Salisbury to Rothschild Broadcasting for $300,000. The buyer is led by Robin Rothschild who previously owned 100.7 WVAY Wilmington VT and currently hosts a weekly magazine show for Salisbury market NBC affiliate WRDE-TV. A second sale of WICO’s simulcast partner 92.5 WICO-FM Pocomoke City is mentioned in the first contract but not yet filed.
