Ian Camfield Moves From UK To Alt AZ 93.3 Phoenix

Hubbard Alternative “93.3 Alt AZ” KDKB Mesa/Phoenix AZ has hired Ian Camfield for mornings. Camfield has spent much of his career in his native United Kingdom at now-defunct Alternative “104.9 Xfm” London hosting afternoons from the station’s launch in 1997 through 2007 and then returning for multiple dayparts from 2009 through its format change to Rock “Radio X” last year. During that one year gap at Xfm, Camfield hosted afternoons at CBS Rock “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK New York. Nancy Stevens Named Alt AZ 93.3 Program Director

Hubbard Radio has promoted Nancy Stevens to Program Director of Alternative “Alt AZ 93.3” KDKB Phoenix. Stevens was working for Hubbard Phoenix developing NTR programs and station events and replaces Mike Tierney who departed last month. She previously programmed Alternative in the Phoenix market where she worked at now-defunct KEDJ from 1996 through 2005 eventually rising to OM/PD. Hubbard Radio promotes Nancy Stevens to Program Director Alternative KDKB-FM (ALT AZ 93-3)/Phoenix, effective February 15. She replaces Mike Tierney. KDKB Drops Rock After 43 Years; Flips To Alternative

93.3 KDKB Mesa/Phoenix has dropped its Rock format of 43 years and flipped to Alternative “Alt AZ 93.3” at 12pm today. The move returns Alternative to the Phoenix market for the first time since 103.9 KEXX dropped the format in January 2012. The new format is launching commercial free through the end of the week. Trip Reeb, VP/Market Manager for Hubbard Phoenix is heading the development of the new format. Reeb has a long resume in the Alternative format including stints Programming and serving as CEO of “91X” XETRA-FM San Diego and eighteen years as General Manager of 106.7 KROQ Los Angeles. Hubbard Acquires Sandusky Radio

Hubbard Radio has agreed to acquired the properties of Sandusky Radio for $85.5 Million. The ten station deal includes five stations each in Seattle and Phoenix.
