Larry Wilson Acquires Triad Broadcasting

Larry Wilson, the former founder and CRO of Citadel Broadcasting who operates Alpha Broadcasting in Portland, has acquired Triad Broadcasting for $21 Million. Triad operates with different operational names in the markets it serves, such as Go Radio Fargo, JMP Radio in Peoria, and Adventure Radio in Bluefield and Savannah/Hilton Head The company will be operated under the name L&L Radio, standing for “Live & Local”. Translator Report 7/11

With the July 4 holiday, its been a quiet start to the month on the translator front. Here’s the rundown of the big moves since our last report. Maverick Media has acquired W262BR Beloit, WI from Edgewater Broadcasting for $45,000 and has begun the process of moving the station to Rockford, IL. The moves will bump the translator from 4 watts on 100.3 to 230 watts on 100.5 where it will move to the same tower as new sister Active Rock “104.9 The X” WXRX.
