Concurrent with Apex Media's purchase of Hot AC "i93.7" WALI Walterboro SC from Premiere Enterprises for $325,000, the station has filed to move to Burton SC while upgrading to a Class C3. The move will shift WALI into the Beaufort/Hilton Head Island market where it will operate with 11kW/150m. To keep first local service in Walterboro, Grace Baptist Church of Orangeburg has applied to change the city-of-license of 810 WWOS St. George to Walterboro.
Station Sales Salem Media is converting its LMA of Conservative Talk “860 The Answer” KTRB San Francisco into a $5.125 million purchase from Susan Uecker, the bankruptcy court appointed receiver of Pappas Radio through an East Bay Broadcasting subsidiary. Salem began operating KTRB on July 1 after a previous attempt to sell the station to John Douglas’ US International Radio for $6.5 million in 2015 was cancelled.
