Blues & Cherries For Jackson MS

New South Radio launched a pair of new formats for their AM/Translator combos in Jackson MS in December. 780 WIIN Ridgeland/93.1 W225BK Cedar Hill have gone All-Blues as “Blues 93.1“. WIIN had been simulcasting Classic Country “93.5 The Legend” WHJT. 930 WSFZ/107.1 W296DD Jackson has been running a stunt loop of Neil Diamond’s “Cherry Cherry”. The Clarion Ledger picked up on this in late December and New South GSM Bill Rakestraw told the paper “It’s not ready to be announced yet. But we know it’s happening. It’s not stuck,” after some locals posted on Facebook thinking the station was broken. No word yet on what the long term plans for the station are.
