Sandy McIlree has exited Hubbard Radio AC “Mix 94.9” WREW Cincinnati after a 14 months. Holly Morgan, who joined McIlree in mornings last July after 15 years at sister CHR “Q102” 101.9 WKRQ remains in place. McIlree is best known for his long run in Austin as half of the “JB & Sandy” show with JB Hager on “Mix 94.7” KAMX and “105.3 The Fringe” K287FG. Sandy McIlree Joins Mix 94.9 Cincinnati

Longtime KAMX Austin morning co-host Sandy McIlree is joining Hubbard Radio AC “Mix 94.9” WREW Cincinnati’s “Morning Misfits”. McIlree will join incumbent hosts Ray Anderson and Karen Van Zant at WREW. McIlree is best known for the 18 years he spent with JB Hager at “Mix 94.7” KAMX Austin along with a brief simulcast on 100.3 KRBV Dallas in 2001-2002. He and Hager also had a brief run together at AAA “105.3 The Fringe” K287FG Austin in 2014-2015, while McIlree hosted golf talk show “Beemer & the Bald Guy” with Rich Beem in syndication and SiriusXM.

A New Mix In Cincinnati

Hubbard Adult Hits “Rewind 94.9” WREW Cincinnati has received a fresh coat of paint. The station has rebranded today as “The New 94.9” positioned as “Cincinnati’s Best Mix“. No changes to the station’s on-air lineup as Ray & Karen remain in mornings, Jay Kruz middays, and Steve Mann in afternoons. WREW ranked 10th overall in the Cincinnati market in the August PPM’s with a 4.1 share. The previous “Rewind” branding originated in 2009 when the station was primarily 80’s based. In recent months however, the station has shifted to a recurrent based playlist.

Bonneville Rewinds in Cincinnati

Bonneville flipped a pair of its Cincinnati stations at 5:00pm today. Country 94.9 WYGY “The Wolf” moved back to 97.3, the former home of Alternative “The Sound“. Debuting at 94.9 was 80’s based Oldies “Rewind 94.9“. The Sound’s Modern Rock format continues on at 97.3 HD-2 and online.
