Eddie Haskell Joins iHeartMedia As SVP/Programming For Fort Collins

Former 98.5 KYGO Denver Program Director Eddie Haskell is moving up I-25 to serve as SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia in the adjacent Fort Collins market. Haskell served as PD of KYGO from January 2013 through August 2016 during the time upon which former KYGO morning host David Mueller was found to have groped Taylor Swift. Haskell stated on the witness stand that Mueller’s unfounded claim that he too had touched Swift that night had cost him some jobs following his exit from KYGO. Clear Channel To Launch Fort Collins AAA

Clear Channel’s 94.9 K235BT Fort Collins, CO will shift to AAA “Radio 94.9” at 12pm today. Following its launch last November as “Christmas 94.9“, the translator had been operating as “Fox Sports 94.9” since December 26. With the launch to AAA coming, it is once again stunting with Christmas music in preparation. Sitting in a coverage null of sister AAA 97.3 KBCO Boulder/Denver, 94.9 will be branded as “Colorado’s Finest Rock” and lists Adele, Avett Brothers, Colbie Caillat, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, The Fray, Mumford & Sons, and U2 amongst core artists. Clear Channel Launches Fox Sports Radio In Fort Collins

Update 12/26: At 12:00am, K235BT ended its Christmas music run and shifted to the national Fox Sports Radio feed. Original Report 11/2: 94.9 K235BT Masonville/Fort Collins has launched as “Christmas 94.9” under Clear Channel’s programming. The translator, owned by Mountain Community Translators has completed its upgrade from 65 to 99 watts at 333.9 meters which will put a city grade signal over Fort Collins and Loveland. The translator had previously been rebroadcasting EMF Broadcasting’s “K-Love” via 91.1 KLDV Morrison/Denver. The application for the upgrade identified News/Talk 600 KCOL as the intended station to rebroadcast upon completion of the upgrade, however it is instead rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of 107.9 KPAW.
