Dave Fogel Adds Middays At KCMO-FM Kansas City

In addition to hosting mornings at Cumulus Media Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago, Dave Fogel is adding midday duties at sister Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM Shawnee KS/Kansas City. Fogel started his career in Kansas City and has worked at CHR “Q104” KBEQ, “Mix 93.3” KMXV, and AC “Star 102” KCKC in the market. He has spent the bulk of his career in Chicago where he returned to WLS-FM at the start of this year for his second run in mornings at the station. He has also worked at 97.9 WLUP, 101.9 WTMX, and 104.3 WJMK in Chicago as well as 102.9 KSDO-FM San Diego, 96.3 WHYT Detroit, and 105.1 WAVA Washington DC. Kelly Urich Joins KCMO-FM Kansas City For Mornings

Cumulus Media Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM Shawnee/Kansas City has appointed Kelly Urich as morning host filling the vacancy created by the cut of Dick Wilson last month. Outside of a brief stint at “Y95” KOY-FM Phoenix in 1992, Urich has spent his entire career in Kansas City with stops at 106.5 KXXR and 104.3 KBEQ predating a 13 year run in afternoons at CHR “Mix 93.3” KMXV from 1995-2008 and then in afternoons and then mornings at 99.7 under three different brands CHR “Kiss-FM“, 90s Hits “Gen X Radio“, and Hot AC “99.7 The Point” KZPT from 2009-2016. Dick Wilson Among Cumulus Kansas City Cuts

The budgetary axe has swung at Cumulus Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM and Talk 710 KCMO/103.7 K279BI Kansas City. As KCMO-FM made its annual move to Christmas music yesterday it parted ways with morning host Dick Wilson. Wilson had been in mornings at KCMO-FM since 1986 and also spent eight years co-hosting mornings at Rock “KY 102” KYYS from 1975-83. Wilson also briefly hosted the short-lived Camp Midnite for USA Network and Dick Clark Productions in 1989. Over at 710 KCMO, morning hosts Greg Knapp and Tom Becka have exited. Cumulus Media has announced new on-air lineups for three of its Kansas City stations. Urban AC “Magic 107.3” KMJK North Kansas City has replaced the syndicated Tom Joyner morning show with Steve Harvey. Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM Shawnee places Operations Manager Lance Tidwell in middays replacing Renee Drake, who remains morning co-host. Steve-O joins the station for afternoons from sister Variety Hits “102.5 Jack-FM” K273BZ/KCJK-HD2. News/Talk 710 KCMO/103.7 K279BI rolls out a more locally based lineup. Greg Knapp returns to the station for mornings from 6-9am replacing Rob Carson. Tom Becka remains in the 9-11am slot, while the newly syndicated Chris Plante is added from 11am-1pm.
