iHeartMedia has broken up its “Rock 94.9/102.3” simulcast in Omaha and launched Regional Mexican “102.3 El Patron” K272FE Council Bluffs IA/KKFF-HD2 Bennington NE. The flip gives a competitor to Flood Communications’ “Lobo 97.7” KBBX Nebraska City. El Patron has picked up the syndicated El Show de Piolin for mornings. The Active Rock format continues on 94.9 K235CD/KISO-HD2 Omaha.

As the clock struck midnight on December 26, iHeartMedia “Man’d Up” and launched “Rock 94.9/102.3“. Airing on both 94.9 K235CD Omaha and 102.3 K272FE Council Bluffs, the station is airing a mix of Rock hits from the 70s to early 2000s. Now Clear Channel has applied for what will likely be the final move for the translator seeking to change city of license to Washington, DC itself on 104.7 with 75 watts at 229 meters rebroadcasting 101.1 WWDC-HD2. American General Media acquires 106.9 K295AZ Buttonwillow, CA from First Ventures Capital Partners for $40,000. The translator holds a CP to relocate to the tower of AGM’s News/Talk 1180 KERN Wasco-Greenacres and will rebroadcast that station, bringing it to FM in Bakersfield. The University of Central Oklahoma is purchasing 95.9 KZCU Woodward, OK from Cameron University for $50,000.
