Fargo’s Bob Expands Eastward To Detroit Lakes

94.7 KSKK has completed its move to Frazee and is now simulcasting Country “Bob 95” 95.1 KBVB Barnesville, MN/Fargo, ND as 94.5 KDLB. The former AC format and KSKK call letters have moved to 1070 KVKK Verndale replacing its Talk format. Another Twist To Fargo Sales; Owners Swap Country Outlets

Update 6/4: The KBVB/KVOX-FM station swap has been filed with the FCC. As part of the deal Midwest will also acquire 98.3 K252EZ Lisbon, ND. The translator currently rebroadcasts 91.9 KDSU Fargo, but an upgrade application will be filed to change the originating station to one of Midwest’s stations. The sale agreement also discusses how the companies will manage non-competes between the two. Either company can hire anyone terminated from the other. The morning show of “Froggy 99.9” KVOX-FM has extra conditions. Both companies have the right to hire John Halverson (Jesse James), Amanda Scheid (Amanda Lea), Taylor Peterson (Pike) and Alex Halverson. Midwest Communications Acquires Radio Fargo-Moorhead

Midwest Communications continues its expansion into the Dakotas with the purchase of Radio Fargo-Moorhead from Jim Ingstad. Update 9/20: Midwest is paying $25 Million for Radio Fargo-Moorhead. Original Report 9/18: The six Radio Fargo-Moorhead stations are Sports “740 The Fan” KVOX, News/Talk 790 KFGO, CHR “Y94” 93.7 WDAY-FM, Country “Bob 95” 95.1 KBVB, Talk “101.9 Talk-FM” KRWK, and Adult Hits “104.7 Popster-FM” KMJO. No terms have been announced for the purchase. The acquisition of the six Fargo area stations follows Midwest’s purchase of Backyard Broadcasting’s seven station cluster in Sioux Falls, SD in July.
