WAJI had dropped its “Majic” moniker for “Best-FM” in March 2014 as the station evolved to Hot AC. Adams Radio filled the softer AC position later that year with the launch of “Soft Rock 103.9” WWFW. Sarkes Tarzian AC “Majic 95.1” WAJI Fort Wayne is the latest Adult Contemporary station to rebrand. The station will become “95.1 Best-FM” on Thursday, as it repositions to join the AC trend of reaching younger demographics. The “Majic” brand had a nearly 30 year heritage in the market, being in the AC format since 1985. Check out our new name @951best. Update 5/17: More details on the More brand: WBEB Philadelphia has rebranded its All-80’s HD2 subchannel as “More-FM” to prevent the brand from being picked up elsewhere. WBEB pulled a similar move in 2007 by inserting the “Fresh” moniker in its positioning. Domain registrations have been made for 951MoreFM.com, More95.com, More951.com, More95FM.com, MoreFMFortWayne.com, MoreFortWayne.com, and MoreFtWayne.com.
