Next FM News/Talk Market: Billings

Update 4/20: KCHH began simulcasting 970 KBUL on Friday, April 15 billed as “NewsRadio 95“. Original Report 4/5: Townsquare Media is preparing to make Billings, MT the next stop on the ever growing News/Talk to FM movement. “NewsRadio 970” KBUL Billings will be adding one or both from the tandem of 90’s Hits “Channel 95” 95.5 KCHH Worden, MT and translator 95.1 K236AB Billings as they have registered NewsRadio955.com and NewsRadio95.com. KCHH has a construction permit to move 20 miles west to Billings proper making the need for the translator simulcast moot. Just like the recent shift of WBEN Buffalo, KBUL will not be able to duplicate its calls on FM due to KBUL Reno, NV.
