David LaBrozzi Joins 95.5 WPLJ New York As Program Director

Entercom Baltimore VP/Programming David LaBrozzi is joining Cumulus Media Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ New York as Program Director. LaBrozzi has overseen the former CBS Radio cluster in Baltimore since 2004 including AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF and Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX. He previously served as VP/Programming for Clear Channel Pittsburgh and programmed in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Nashville. He fills the opening created by Rick Gillette’s exit in January. WPLJ’s Ralphie & Melony Torres Swap Timeslots

Cumulus Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ New York is revamping its nighttime lineup. Melony Torres moves from late nights to the 7-11pm timeslot, while Ralphie Aversa slides to 11pm-3am. Program Director Rick Gillette states in the release that the move was made to allow Torres, who also serves as Music Director, to have more daily collaboration with him and APD Mike Allan and for Aversa to participate in more “high profile entertainment and red carpet events”. Aversa will also continue to track nights for sister CHR’s 92.3 WPRO-FM Providence and 97.1 WBHT Wilkes-Barre. Cumulus Makes New York Programming Appointements

Cumulus Media is shuffling its programming team at its New York music stations. John Foxx has been named Program Director of Country “94.7 Nash-FM” WNSH filling the opening created by the move of Brian Thomas to WLS-FM Chicago last July. Foxx had been serving as Assistant PD/Afternoon Host of Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ after previously holding the PD reigns of both WNSH and WPLJ. Foxx will continue to host afternoons on WPLJ. Mike Allan has been promoted from Music Coordinator of WPLJ to Assistant PD of both WNSH and WPLJ. Melony Torres, who had been hosting middays at 107.3 WRQX Washington prior to its relaunch as “Mix 107.3” moves to New York as Music Director and late night host at WPLJ. Cumulus Media is playing musical chairs at the Program Director office at three of its major market stations. Jan Jeffries, Cumulus’ Senior Vice President of Programming, will give up his role as day-to-day PD of Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago to head to CHR “All The Hits 107.3” WRQX Washington, DC. Concurrently, Rick Gillette will move from WRQX to Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ New York as Program Director and retain his duties as CHR Corporate Program Director for the company. Jayde Donovan Joins WPLJ For Mornings

95.5 WPLJ New York is relaunching its morning show yet again. Jayde Donovan will join the station as co-host of “Todd and Jayde (In the Morning)”. Donovan joins WPLJ from Cox CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa where she hosted “Hot Mornings with Jayde”. In addition to multiple television jobs, Donovan began her career co-hosting mornings at “XL106.7” WXXL Orlando. WPLJ had just relaunched its morning show in February when Scott Shannon exited and then joined Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM. Todd Pettengill moved up to lead “The Todd Show”. Scott Shannon Retires From WPLJ

Scott Shannon has announced that today is his final day as host of “Scott & Todd In The Morning” at Cumulus Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ New York. Shannon has been with WPLJ since returning to New York in 1991, first relaunching the station as “Mojo Radio” and later as Hot AC “95-5 PLJ“. Before joining WPLJ, Shannon is best known for launching “Z100” WHTZ and the ill-fated “Pirate Radio 100.3” KQLZ Los Angeles. Co-Host Todd Pettengill will remain with the station, as it will relaunch its morning show as “The Todd Show” beginning on Monday, February 24.
