Taking advantage of the flip of Variety Hits “98.7 The Peak” KPKX Phoenix to Sports on Monday, Clear Channel has flipped Rhythmic AC “Eva 95.5” KYOT Phoenix to fill the void. At 5pm KYOT relaunched as Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain“. Positioning itself with the “We Play Everything” branding used by KPKX, The Mountain describes itself on its website as “A fun, music motivated station that plays hundreds of artists from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.”. Will KYOT Phoenix Be Gone For Eva?

Update 8/31: KYOT has completed its rebranding as “Eva 95.5“. Former KZZP morning host Chino will take over mornings, presumably voicetracked from his current spot at KPTT Denver. Current morning host Melissa Sharpe shifts to middays. Sana G from KMEL San Francisco will voicetrack afternoons, while Sylvia Chacon from KISQ San Francisco will voicetrack nights.
