Radio Zindagi Moves As 95.7 The Game San Francisco Adds AM Simulcast

Entercom has flipped Brokered Indian “Radio Zindagi” 1550 KZDG San Francisco to a simulcast of their Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ. The newly minted 1550 KGMZ and 95.7 KGMZ-FM will break the simulcast for play-by-play overlap including moving Oakland Athletics baseball to 1550 when 95.7 carries Golden State Warriors playoff games. The “Radio Zindagi” programming will continue to air on Entercom’s 105.3 KITS-HD2, but has moved on AM to KLOK Media’s 1170 KLOK San Jose replacing its former “Desi 1170” Indian programming. Golden State Warriors Move To KGMZ

After 32 consecutive seasons on Cumulus Sports 680 KNBR San Francisco, the NBA’s Golden State Warriors will move to Entercom’s “95.7 The Game” KGMZ for the 2016-2017 season. The Warriors will join the Oakland A’s and Oakland Raiders on KGMZ, while the NHL’s San Jose Sharks air on sister Classic Rock “98.5 KFOX” KUFX San Jose. The station will run expanded pre and post-game coverage and in-season daily coverage as well as Warriors themed Wednesday. Tim Roye will remain with the franchise for his 22nd season as play-by-play voice for the franchise, while appearing on the station’s shows three times a week during the season. Jeremiah Crowe Jumps To KTCT San Francisco As PD/KNBR APD

For the second time in a week, Cumulus has raided the staff of Entercom Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco to jump to their duo of 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT San Francisco. Jeremiah Crowe will leave his role as Assistant Program Director at KGMZ to become PD of “1050 KNBR” KTCT and APD of 680 KNBR. Prior to joining KGMZ, Crowe worked as a producer for ESPN Radio. In the press release, OM/680 PD Lee Hammer states that a relaunch of the 1050 signal is forthcoming. John Lund Jumps From KGMZ To KNBR

Cumulus Sports 680 KNBR San Francisco has raided John Lund from Entercom’s “95.7 The Game” KGMZ. Lund currently co-hosts 12-3pm on KGMZ with Oakland Raiders play-by-play man Greg Papa. At KNBR he will join former NBA star Tom Tolbert in afternoons from 3-7pm. Tolbert recently re-signed with KNBR to remain in the timeslot he has held since 1996. Entercom San Francisco Trio To Air Oakland Raiders Games

The Oakland Raiders have extended their agreement with Entercom San Francisco to broadcast their games and ancillary programming. After three years on Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco, this year the game broadcasts will also be heard on Urban AC 102.9 KBLX San Francisco and Classic Rock “98.5 K-Fox” KUFX San Jose. All ancillary programming will remain on KGMZ including a two hour pre-game show and one hour post-game. CBS Sports Radio Names Morning Show

CBS Sports Radio has named the trio of Dana Jacobson, Tiki Barber, and Brandon Tierney for mornings when the network launches on Wednesday, January 2. All three are known names in sports media. Jacobson comes to CBS from ESPN where she most recently co-anchored First Take on ESPN2. Barber is the former New York Giants Running Back who also spent time working at NBC on the Today Show and Football Night In America. Tierney is currently the afternoon co-host at Entercom’s “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco and previously spent nine years at ESPN Radio in New York. CBS Sports Radio has hired author John Feinstein and KNBR San Francisco’s (and former NBA player) Tom Tolbert as contributors. The pair join Boomer Esiason and Doug Gottlieb as those with roles on the network. For now all four will contribute 60 second commentaries that will air hourly between 6am and 7pm beginning September 4. Yahoo! Sports Radio has named the team of Doug Russell and Mark Carman for their 4-8pm afternoon slot starting Monday, August 27. Russell had been hosting 8-10pm on the network. Carman previously was a host/reporter for KCSP Kansas City and WGN Chicago. NBC’s Football Night in America analyst Rodney Harrison will host a weekend show for NBC Sports Radio.
