Miles Anzaldo Joins KROQ As Music Director

Miles Anzaldo is departing Go Media Alternative “Go 96.3” KQGO Edina/Minneapolis MN to join Entercom Alternative 106.7 KROQ Pasadena/Los Angeles as Music Director. Anzaldo has served as APD/MD/Afternoon host at KQGO since 2015. He previously spent 12 years at “Live 105” KITS San Francisco where he was Assistant Music Director and midday host when he departed. Minnesota Twins Return To WCCO

Update 11/17: Entercom has officially announced its new deal with the Twins to bring the franchise back to News/Talk 830 WCCO. WCCO carried the team’s broadcasts from its move to Minnesota in 1961 through the end of the 2006 season will resume that role for the upcoming season. The Twins have been on team owned Alternative “Go 96.3” KQGO Edina since 2013 and also spent six seasons on Hubbard Sports “ESPN 1500” KSTP. The Pohlad Companies’ Northern Lights Broadcasting is expanding the digital platform around Alternative “Go 96.3” KTWN-FM Edina/Minneapolis. Since flipping to Alternative last December, the station has added a music-centric website and 24/7 video platform. Today they have announced the purchase of local news aggregator BringMeTheNews.com for an undisclosed amount. Founded by Rick Kupchella, BringMeTheNews also supplies content to print and broadcast stations across the state of Minnesota. Go 96.3 Minneapolis Launches GoTV

An interesting technical evolution has launched at Northern Lights Alternative “Go 96.3” KTWN-FM Edina/Minneapolis. KTWN-FM has launched “Go TV” with all the on-air elements of the radio station adding an online video component. Music videos play for whichever songs are playing, on-air talent are live on camera, and the imaging has a video component. On-air audio commercials are replaced with video spots. Go 96.3 Minneapolis Adds Barb Abney & Sets Airstaff

Northern Lights Broadcasting Alternative “Go 96.3” KTWN-FM Edina/Minneapolis has filled out its airstaff highlighted by the hiring of former “89.3 The Current” KCMP middayer Barb Abney for the same daypart. Abney exited KCMP a few weeks ago in a high-profile firing just days after the station’s tenth anniversary celebration. Abney will host 8am to 12pm at “Go“, a shift that will move down an hour once a morning show is in place. It was just a year ago that Northern Lights Broadcasting flipped Rhythmic CHR “96.3 Now” Minneapolis to Modern AC “96.3 K-Twin” KTWN. Now as the station prepares to become the flagship for Minnesota Twins baseball, another shift appears on the horizon. Today the station announced the hiring of three new on-air personalities who will join the station on January 2. SiriusXM host and Minnesota native Cane Peterson, best known for his run in afternoons on “92.3 K-Rock” New York and as a VJ at VH1 and KARE-TV weekend anchor Rena Sarigianopoulos will join incumbent Eric Perkins in mornings.
