FCC Report 2/11: Issues Pile Up For Pensacola Translator

FCC Actions Last week the FCC dismissed the License to Cover for Omni Broadcasting's to complete the relocation of 97.1 W246BN Atmore AL to Pensacola FL over multiple FCC violations including insufficient fee payments, delinquent debts, or debarment. This week the issues continued to pile up for the translator as Omni was issued a Notice of Violation for multiple violations including operating approximately 40 miles from the location authorized on the Station’s license and that W246BN was originating programing instead of retransmitting programing from its associated station. W246BN was licensed to rebroadcast La Promesa Foundation’s Catholic 1230 WDWR Pensacola but most recently was operating as Sports “The Ticket” and is still listed as such on the station's website.

FCC Report 2/4: Pensacola Translator Dismissed Over Debts

Dismissals Omni Broadcasting's License to Cover filed in 2016 to complete the relocation of 97.1 W246BN Atmore AL to Pensacola FL has been dismissed for multiple FCC violations including insufficient fee payments, delinquent debts, or debarment. W246BN was licensed to rebroadcast La Promesa Foundation's Catholic 1230 WDWR Pensacola but most recently was operating as Sports "The Ticket" rebroadcasting 100.3 WTKE-FM Niceville/Fort Walton Beach. New England Broadcasting Edu. Group's 2016 application to relocate 88.3 WVCA Newbury MA to 88.1 Seabrook NH has been dismissed.
