Sunrise Resets Its Hudson Valley Changes

Update 3/21: One month after a cluster-wide morning show shuffle, Sunrise Broadcasting has set everything back to the way it was. Bob & Lori have returned from a month on “Fox Oldies 98.9” WGNY-FM Rosendale to move back to AC “Fox 103.1” WJGK Newburgh. That allows Van Ritshie to go back to mornings from middays at WGNY-FM, while D-Rock moves from mornings at WJGK to nights at Dance “Drive FX“. 1220 WGNY Newburgh/97.3 W247AW Poughkeepsie has also returned to ESPN Radio after flipping to a simulcast of WGNY-FM last month. They will be joined in ESPN programming by 94.1 W231BP Chester/Middletown and 95.7 W239BL Poughkeepsie. The duo of translators had been the analog signals for Dance “Drive FX“, which will now be heard exclusively on 98.9 ...[Read More]

Fox Radio Changes In Hudson Valley & Poconos

Sunrise Broadcasting’s AC “Fox Radio” gains one and loses two simulcast partners. The translator is being fed by sister 98.9 WGNY-HD3. We are unsure if the station is operating under the new facilities at this time. Sunrise had been leasing 96.7 WTSX and 1490 WDLC since 2005. During this time 96.7 was moved from Port Jervis, NY to accomodate the move of what is now WKLV into the New York marke...[Read More]

Kansas City has more 250 watt translators in the commercial band than any other market and adds another one today. Alpine Broadcasting’s 102.9 K275BQ Richmond, MO signed on Friday afternoon rebroadcasting 1160 KCXL Liberty, MO. EMF Broadcasting’s 89.5 K208EO Sandia, NM has completed its move to 107.5 where it has begun airing Vanguard Media’s “Real Oldies 1600” KRKE Albuquerque as “Cool 107.5“. The translator covers the northeast portion of Albuquerque.
