KWRW Completes Tyler Move-In; Flips To Talk

Gleiser Communications has completed the move-in of Classic Hits 97.7 KWRW Rusk, TX into the Tyler market. Now operating on 97.5 licensed to Troup, Gleiser has flipped the station to News/Talk as KTBB-FM. Simulcasting the programming of 600 KTBB/95.7 K239CB Tyler, the addition of the 13kW at 121 meter Class C3 signal to cover the entire Tyler-Longview market. Gleiser as ATW Media purchased KWRW in December for $750,000. The group also owns Sports “ESPN 92.1” KRWR Tyler and “ESPN Deportes 1490” KYZS Tyler.

Radio Assist Ministry is transferring 69 translators to sister company Edgewater Broadcasting for no cost. Both groups are run by Clark Parrish. Longport Media is purchasing 92.5 W223CO Atlantic City, NJ from Susan Clinton for $26,000. W223CO will rebroadcast News/Talk 1400 WOND Pleasantville. FCC Applications 10/5: Translator On The Move Into Austin

Station Moves Beasley (Soon to be CBS) Sports 560 WQAM Miami has applied to relocate to the tower of Salem’s 1450 WOCN. The owners of the station’s tower site on Virginia Key notified WQAM and co-tenant 1360 WKAT earlier this year that their leases will not be renewed. At the new site where WQAM will join WKAT and WOCN it will drop its daytime power from its current 5kW to 4.1kW. Nighttime power will remain at 1kW.
