Maryann Morgan Joins Joel Katz In Mornings At WMGQ

Beasley Media AC “Magic 98.3” WMGQ New Brunswick NJ has promoted fill-in host Maryann Morgan to morning co-host aside Joel Katz. Morgan previously hosted nights at WMGQ in the 1990s, while Katz himself recently returned to fulltime status at station to take the morning show following the exit of Chris McCoy when Beasley closed on the purchase of the station along with the rest of Greater Media. Jeff Rafter Named Press Communications VP/Programming

Jeff Rafter has exited his role as OM/PD/Afternoon host at Beasley AC “Magic 98.3” WMGQ New Brunswick NJ to join Press Communications as Vice President of Programming. Rafter will directly oversee Hot AC “Fun 107.1” WWZY Long Branch, Oldies 1410 WHTG Eatontown, and Soft AC “99.7 The Island” WBHX Tuckerton NJ. He had been with WMGQ since 2007 and had been with Greater Media since 2002 as OM/PD of Classic Hits 100.1 WJRZ Manahawkin. Rafter also spent a decade as OM/PD of AC 92.7 WOBM-FM Toms River. Press also owns CHR “B98.5” WBBO Ocean Acres and Country simulcast “Thunder 106” 106.3 WKMK Eatontown/106.5 WTHJ Bass River Township NJ.

Dan Finn Joins Beasley As New Jersey Market Manager

Another of Greater Media’s senior managers will remain with Beasley Media following the company’s acquisition. Dan Finn, who has served as Regional General Manager and Senior Vice President for Greater Media New Jersey since 2001, will remain in charge of those properties with the new title of Senior Vice President/Market Manager. Finn also served as President/Chief Operating Officer of New Jersey Broadcasting prior to Greater Media’s acquisition of the company in 2001. The stations Finn oversees serve three markets in New Jersey: Rock 105.5 WDHA-FM Dover and Oldies 1250 WMTR Morristown are in the Morristown market, AC “Magic 98.3” WMGQ and Talk 1450 WCTC New Brunswick are located in the Middlesex/Somerset/Union market.
