McKay previously programmed Entercom Hot AC “94.9 The Point” WPTE Norfolk from 2002-2006 and Greater Media Rhythmic Oldies “95.7 Jammin’ Gold” WEJM Philadelphia in 1999-2000. as well as CHR’s 93.5 WSBG Stroudsburg and 97.1 WBHT Wilkes-Barre PA during his career. A year after flipping from Classic Hits to Country, Cumulus quietly shifted “98.5 Nash-FM” WOMG Lexington/Columbia, SC to their Nash Icon brand earlier this week as “98.5 Nash Icon“. WOMG failed to make any inroads against iHeartMedia’s 97.5 WCOS as it has been stagnant around a 1.4 share since its launch on February 28, 2014. The move to the gold oriented Nash Icon brand places WOMG closer to Davis Media’s “94.3 The Dude” WWNQ. WOMG is also Cumulus’ first station to shift from the “Nash-FM” brand to “Nash Icon“.
