Melissa Moore Moves From KYGO To KOSI As Jackie Selby Moves To Middays

Following the exit of Denise Plante last month, Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI Denver will revamp its weekday lineup starting September 4. Afternoon host Jackie Selby will slide to the midday slot previously held by Plante. Selby is in her second tour with KOSI where she held middays from 2008-2012 and then returned in afternoons in December 2015. She has also worked in the market at Alternative “96.5 The Peak” KXPK, Modern AC “Alice 106” KALC, Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL, and Standards “101.5 Martini on the Rockies” KTNI. FCC Actions The FCC has rejected Roy Henderson's Petition For Reconsideration for the deletion of 99.7 KROY Palacios TX. Henderson had previously admitted to operating KROY from March 1 through 9, 2013 and December 23, 2013 through January 2, 2014 at sites without a license or STA while mostly being silent from the dismantling of its tower in November of 2007 and March 15, 2014 when it began Program Test Authority from its replacement site. Guy David, morning host at “107.1 The Bull” WFON Fond du Lac WI, will join incumbent host Tracy Dixon at KYGO in early April. David is a native Australian who previously worked at a Los Angeles webcaster before getting the morning job at WFON. He fills the opening created by Ryno’s exit back in February of 2016. John E. Kage Named KYGO PD

After just nine months as Program Director at Cox Media Group CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa, John E. Kage is returning to Denver as Program Director of Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO. The move reunites Kage with Bonneville Denver VP/Market Manager Bob Call for whom he served as Program Director of Lincoln Financial Media’s Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS and “Comedy 103.1” KYGO-HD2 from 2008 until leaving for Tampa when Entercom took over those stations last Fall. He has also worked as APD/MD at 102.5 KSFM Sacramento, and on-air in Albuquerque, St. Cloud, Salisbury, and Grand Forks during his career. Kage succeeds Eddie Haskell, who exited KYGO in August.

Entercom Settles DOJ Investigation; Swaps For 100.3 The Sound Los Angeles

Entercom and Bonneville have announced they will begin operating their newly acquired stations on Friday, July 17 with Entercom closing on its acquisition of Lincoln Financial Media. Entercom Acquires Lincoln Financial Media

The Entercom/Lincoln Financial Media deal has been filed with the FCC. To comply with market cap limits in Denver, Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN Longmont will be placed in the Pikes Peak Trust run by Elliot Evers for divestiture to a third party. The remainder of the Lincoln Financial Media stations will begin to be operated by Entercom via Time Brokerage Agreement on January 15 or two days after DOJ approval of the deal, whichever is the latter of the two. During the TBA and until the actual sales close, Entercom agrees to not change any formats on the to-be-acquired stations. The $105 million purchase price will consist of a $77 million cash payment to Lincoln Financial, with the remainder consisting of Entercom stock grants to Lincoln. Examining The Entercom Lincoln Financial Deal

This morning Entercom shocked the industry with their acquisition of Lincoln Financial Media for $105 million. Entercom acquired fifteen stations and a translator for less money than Steel City Media paid for Wilks four station in Kansas City earlier this year, a smaller market than any of the Lincoln stations. To show how much station prices have dropped, the price is nearly equal to the amount Greater Media paid for Lincoln’s three stations in Charlotte, NC in 2008.
