The continued attempt to get 107.7 on the air in the Omaha market takes another turn. With the FAA continually blocking the power level seeked by the applicants for the frequency, Kona Coast Radio has now applied to downgrade its application for KIMI Sydney, IA. Instead of operating as a Class C2 with 50kW at 124 meters, KIMI is looking to become a Class C3 running 13kW at 124 meters with a City of License change to Malvern, IA. Previous tests by KIMI and a previous CP by Connoisseur Media that was later returned to the FCC were halted by intermodulation interference to frequencies used by Offutt Air Force Base.
