Roxanne Steele Exits WYCD

Roxanne Steele has exited as midday host at Entercom Country 99.5 WYCD Detroit after two and a half years. Steele joined WYCD in November 2015 after previously filling the same daypart at sister CHR “98.7 AMP Radio” WDZH. She is best known for her 12 year run at “B96” WBBM-FM Chicago and has also worked in Palm Springs and Phoenix at the start of her career. Tim Roberts Promoted To CBS VP/Country Programming

CBS Radio has appointed Tim Roberts as Vice President of Country Programming. Roberts fills the position last held by former “US 99.5” WUSN Chicago programmer Jeff Kapugi prior to his exit in late 2016. Roberts will continue in his other position as VP/Music Programming for CBS Radio Detroit where he programs CHR “98.7 Amp Radio” WDZH, Country 99.5 WYCD, and Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC. Roberts has been with CBS since 2006, when he joined WYCD as OM/Program Director. He has also programmed defunct Country outlets “W4” 106.7 WWWW Detroit, 94.9 KSAN San Francisco, and stations in Cedar Rapids, Charlotte, Spokane, and Youngstown. Chuck Edwards Named New WYCD Morning Host

Following today’s exit of Dr. Don Carpenter as morning host at 99.5 WYCD Detroit, the CBS Country station didn’t look far for his replacement. Afternoon host Chuck Edwards will move to the morning show to join incumbent co-hosts Rachel Hunter, Steve Grunwald and Jason The 200 lb. Cowboy. Dr. Don Carpenter Stepping Down From WYCD Morning Show

As CBS Radio makes talent changes nationwide, Dr. Don Carpenter is stepping down from his role leading the Country 99.5 WYCD Detroit morning show. Carpenter has been with the station from soon after its launch in 1993 and in mornings since 2003. He states he is not retiring but transitioning to a new role with the station that will keep him around for “special broadcasts and you’ll hear me on commercials for the companies I have endorsement deals with”.
