Station Sales Roberto Gonzalez’s MBM Radio sells Variety Hits “104.9 Jack-FM” KJAV Alamo and Spanish News/Talk 840 KVJY Pharr in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas to Andrés Bichara’s Bi-Media License for $2.2 million. These are Bi-Media’s first stations, while MBM as R Communications will still retain 3 FMs and 1 AM in the McAllen/Edinburg/Brownsville market. In addition to beginning to operate WJSJ Fernandina Beach/Jacksonville FL as “CBS Sports 105.3“, Neal Ardman’s NIA Broadcasting will purchase the station from Tama Broadcasting’s bankruptcy receiver Scott Savage for $800,000.
