AM Changes With their acquisition of Conservative Talk 1270 WYXC Cartersville GA, Michael & Dara Glinter’s Northwest Georgia Broadcasting has applied to move the station to 1260 in the Atlanta suburb of East Point GA. Michael Glinter’s Praise 95, Inc. was the proposed applicant in 2013 to acquire now deleted 1260 WTJH East Point from Willis Broadcasting. WTJH lost its license in July 2014 when an FCC review showed that the station had been off the air for more than one year consecutively following its 2009 silent STA application following its eviction from the tower site making its 2010 license renewal application moot. Opus Broadcasting has agreed to sell their four station in Tallahassee, FL to the newly formed Red Hills Broadcasting for $4 Million. Hank Kestenbaum, the head of Red Hills, currently is the President/General Manager of the Opus stations involved in the sale. The stations being acquired are Variety Hits “99.9 Hank-FM” WANK Lafayette, Country “103.1 The Wolf” WWOF Tallahassee, CHR “Hot 104.9” WHTF Havana, and Classic Rock “106.1 The Path” WQTL Tallahassee. Following the sale Opus Broadcasting will still retain its clusters in Alexandria and Monroe, LA.
