Dan Joseph Joins WBAL For Evenings

Hearst News/Talk 1090 WBAL Baltimore has added Conservative commentator Dan Joseph to host evenings from 8-11pm. Joseph, who previously served as a video reporter for Media Research Center and a blogger, fills the opening created by Brett Hollander’s move to 1-4pm this spring. The remainder of WBAL’s evening lineup will consist of Ravens Insider Report from 7-8pm, and a simulcast of WBAL-TV’s 11pm newscast. DJ Quicksilva Returns To WKYS & WERQ

Tamara Gant has announced her exit from her position as producer/co-host of the syndicated Michael Baisden Show to join Entercom AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF Miami as morning co-host starting Monday, January 22. The move to WLYF will reunite her with incumbent co-host Julie Guy, where they were known as “Those 2 Girls in The Morning” on Cox Media Group AC “97.3 The Coast” WFLC from 2006 to 2012. Mike Preston is joining iHeartMedia as Senior Vice President of Programming for the company’s Baltimore cluster and Program Director of Country 93.1 WPOC and Variety Hits “102.7 Jack-FM” WQSR. Educational Media Foundation sells 101.5 K268AH Palm Springs CA to Marker Broadcasting for $200,000 to rebroadcast an HD subchannel of 95.9 KJJZ Indian Wells. The translator became redundant to EMF when it acquired what is now 105.1 KLXB Bermuda Dunes. EMF is also buying in multiple areas. It will pay Audion Communications $250,000 for the CP of 104.1 KRXC Murrieta/Temecula CA to join its Christian CHR “Air 1” network. As part of the move WHOO will change city-of-license to Winter Park and drop from 19kW day/190W night to 6kW day/55w night. WHOO has been operating from the WAMT site under an STA with 1.5kW day/11w night since the land of its former five tower array was sold in 2015.
