Commonwealth Broadcasting has rebranded CHR “96 Hits” 95.9 W240CP Bowling Green/95.7 W239BT Glasgow/WOVO-HD2 Horse Cave KY as “95.9 The Vibe“. The Vibe is positioning as “Bowling Green’s Hit Music Station” and takes on a slightly more Rhythmic lean with its rebranding.
Commonwealth Broadcasting has launched Active Rock “98.3 The Edge” in Bowling Green, KY. Operating on the 250 watt signal of 98.3 W252CV Bowling Green via 105.3 WPTQ-HD2 Glasgow, the station is promoting “A pinch of 70?s (only the rockin’ stuff), a dose of the 80?s and a big fat-ass pile of the 90?s, 00?s and today!” The move allows sister “105.3 The Point” WPTQ to shift from Mainstream Rock to Classic Rock focusing on the 70s and 80s.
Commonwealth Broadcasting has used an FM upgrade to pull off a three station format shift around Glasgow KY. The former “Howdy 106.5” WHHT Horse Cave has upgraded from a 3kW Class A to a 50kW Class C2 on 106.3 giving it full coverage of Glasgow and Bowling Green. Concurrently, AC “My 105.3” WOVO has shifted its programming to the new 106.3 signal where it drops the My moniker for a simpler “106.3 WOVO“. That frees 105.3 up to assume the programming of Classic Rock “103.7 The Point” WPTQ. We have not yet been able to confirm what programming goes to what is now 103.7 WHHT Cave City.
