Saga Communications has expanded its “Outlaw” Classic Country brand to Clarksville TN. 100.7 W264CK Clarksville/107.9 WCVQ-HD3 Fort Campbell KY are now “100.7 The Outlaw” with Saga’s usual “Legends & Young Guns” positioning. Interestingly the company states that the Young Gun half is directed towards 1990s Country stalwarts George Strait, Reba McEntire, and Toby Keith. The station is running jockless and commercial-free for now. W264CK was previously the FM home of Sports “ESPN Clarksville” 540 WKFN, which added a new translator on 104.1 in July.

The move is tied to WKFN’s new AM Revitalization translator move into Clarksville. W281BT was originally located in Morganfield KY. Despite the press statements claiming a better a signal on 104.1, both W264CK and W281BT have nearly identical 250w/101m patterns from the same antenna. Saga states that 100.7 W264CK will debut a new HD fed format in September once the ESPN audience is fully moved to the new signal. Update 12/26: WEGI has shifted to Adult Hits “Rewind 94.3“. Branded as ‘Amazing Variety”, the station is featuring music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. New call letters are on the way for the station as 1370 becomes WRND and 94.3 WRND-FM.
