WTTS Promotes Brad Holtz To General Manager; Laura Duncan To Program Director

Geoff Vargo will retire at the end of 2018 following a 37 years run in the position of President/General Manager. He will be replaced as GM by current Program Director Brad Holtz. Federated Media is making adjustments to Country “K105” 105.1 WQHK-FM Huntertown/Fort Wayne IN as half of its airstaff departs and its General Sales Manager demoted. As first reported by Indiana Radio Watch, morning co-host Dude Walker and afternoon host Aricka McCauley have exited WQHK-FM. Walker joined the station as night host in 1994 and moved to mornings in 1998. McCauley has hosted afternoons since 2014 after joining WQHK from CHR “U93” WNDV-FM South Bend. Adams Radio Group has flipped Conservative Talk 1450 WLYV Fort Wayne to Oldies utilizing Westwood One’s Good Time Oldies network. The station’s previous “The Patriot” brand remains on 103.3 W277AK Fort Wayne/WJFX-HD2, where it began simulcasting earlier this year. The new Oldies station is being branded as “14-5-OH WLYV” and is in honor of the station’s flip to Top 40 in 1966. Original WLYV “LYV GYS” DJ Rick Hughes, who has been hosting a weekend Oldies show on WLYV will add a Friday show to his Saturday and Sunday shifts.
