Newcap Radio has flipped CHR “Hot 92.3” CFRK-FM Fredericton, NB to Country “New Country 92.3“. Launching with a “Make The Switch” campaign, the new format is directly targeted at Bell Media’s “KHJ” 1260 CKHJ, the last AM station in the market. It joins sister CHR “Hot 92.3” CFRK-FM in Newcap’s Fredericton cluster. That station flipped from Classic Hits “92.3 Fred-FM” to CHR on March 1.

Astral has registered Boom975.ca, VirginRadio975.com, and VirginRadio975.com. It had already registered Boom975.com this past May. Next up is Winnipeg, where incumbent CHR “Hot 103” CKMM Winnipeg has received a direct threat from Evanov’s “Energy 106.1” CHWE. To retaliate, it appears the station will join its sisters in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Mont...[Read More]
