Stephanie Perl Joins Entercom As Hartford Market Manager

Entercom has announced the appointment of Stephanie Perl as its new SVP/Market Manager for its Hartford CT operations. Perl, who joins the company from the Local Sales Manager position at Tribune Broadcasting’s CW affiliate “CT 20” WCCT-TV and “Fox 61” WTIC-TV Hartford, becomes the third market manager in the cluster in less than a year. Mark Hannon, who ran the cluster for CBS Radio prior to the merger with Entercom, dropped oversight to focus just on Boston upon closing of the deal. Trignition Media has begun simulcasting Spanish Tropical “Viva 840/107.3” WRYM/W297BT New Britain CT on pending acquisition 1240 WWCO Waterbury. WWCO had been part of Connoisseur Media’s “Talk of Connecticut” network along with 610 WSNG Torrington, 1360 WDRC Hartford, and 1470 WMMW Meriden. Those three were sold to Red Wolf Broadcasting in January as part of a larger deal. Trignition is paying $260,000 for WWCO and its Construction Permit for 106.3 W292FI Waterbury.

Station Sales Week Of 1/19: A Pair Of Boston AMs Sold

After agreeing in December to purchase Silent 1510 WMEX Boston from Daly XXL Communications for $125,000, the contract by Ed Perry’s Marshfield Broadcasting Company has been filed with the FCC. Not included in the deal are the current call letters as the license to use them from 105.9 WMEX-LP Rochester NH was non-transferrable. Also the contract states that the current tower site owner Duffy Associates, LLC has filed a lawsuit against Daly XXL Communications, Ed Perry, and former WMEX owner Blackstrap Broadcasting.
