Thirteen translators in Indiana and Michigan have gone silent after ending their deal to rebroadcast Progressive Broadcasting System's Christian AC 104.7 WFRN-FM Elkhart. Indiana Radio Watch reports that Friends of Christian Radio took 94.3 W232CK Gary, 95.1 W236BD Michigan City, 96.3 W242BM Kokomo, 97.5 W248AP Chesterton, 102.3 W272BZ Portage, 102.3 W272CZ Sheridan, 105.3 W287BE Greenwood, 106.7 W294BA Valparaiso, 107.7 W299AJ Marion IN and 96.3 W242BH Marshall, 100.3 W262AF Parchment, 101.1 W266AE Coldwater, and 102.5 W273BM Benton Harbor MI all filed silent STAs while seeking a new source to rebroadcast.

Station Sales Cumulus Media’s Joule Broadcasting divestment trust has sold Country “104.7 Nash Icon” WELJ Montauk NY/New London CT to Matthew Glaser and Kerry Baldinger’s Bold Broadcasting for $197,000. Baldinger will serve as CEO, while her Glamlots LLC holds a 30% stake and 60% voting stake in the company. Company founder and VP Glaser is a student at Stony Brook University. iHeartMedia sells Silent 1400 WFOR Hattiesburg MS to Eagle Broadcasting for $120,000. Eagle owns News/Talk 98.1 WMXI Laurel in the Hattiesburg market. The Hattie Reese Trust is purchasing Oldies 1240 WJLX Jasper AL from Wal-Win LLC for $150,000. FCC Report: WYAY Files Atlanta Move

Update 6/6: The FCC has dismissed WYAY’s applications to change city of license to Sandy Springs and to move to 106.5 at Cumulus’ request. Clear Channel had petitioned the FCC to dismiss the 106.5 application as well. Original Report 5/15: Cumulus has applied to move 106.7 WYAY Gainesville/Atlanta into Atlanta proper. With an application pending to change its city of license to Sandy Springs, Cumulus has applied to shift the station’s transmitter to Atlanta and a frequency adjustment to 106.5. The station would operate with 100kW at 299 meters with directional lobes to the northeast and southwest.
